The COMBIDISC® CD grinding discs with CO-COOL ceramic grit from PFERD Tools are designed for maximum material removal on hard materials. The self-sharpening grit, combined with active grinding additives, ensures consistently high cutting performance. They are fully compatible with the COMBIDISC system and allow for quick, tool-free changes.

 

Features:

The CO-COOL version is based on a high-quality, self-sharpening ceramic grain, which ensures a consistently high grinding performance throughout the entire service life. Active grinding additives integrated into the coating increase material removal whilst simultaneously reducing clogging of the grinding disc. This technology enables cool grinding without thermal overload – ideal for hard materials and those with poor thermal conductivity.

The mounting system utilises an internal thread (CD system) on the tool side and is compatible with metal or plastic backing plates (COMBIDISC, PSG, Power Lock Type II ‘Turn On’, SocAtt, Turn-On). The connection ensures a secure hold without slipping or coming loose during machining. The smooth running with low vibration improves process reliability and user comfort. Suitable backing plates are available separately and can be used on a variety of machines.
