The 3M™ 982C Cubitron™ II Fibre Disc is an ultra-high-performance grinding disc designed for a wide range of metalworking applications. Engineered to outperform conventional ceramic fibre discs, it delivers up to twice the cut rate and up to twice the abrasive life. It is ideal for grinding, weld removal and surface preparation on both small and large metal components.

The 3M™ Cubitron™ II 982C fibre disc features profiled and calibrated ceramic grain. The precisely engineered triangular ceramic grains are electrostatically oriented on the backing. Each grain acts as an individual cutting tool that cuts through metal extremely effectively. The grains wear evenly and continuously self-sharpen as the tips break off, thereby reducing frictional heat and extending the disc life.

Användningsområden
The 3M™ Cubitron™ II Fibre Disc 982C is suitable for use on carbon steel, cast iron, bronze, brass and aluminium. Typical applications include edge chamfering, bevel grinding, deburring, carbon steel weld removal, groove grinding, mill scale removal from both thin and thick steel plate, and general surface preparation. It is particularly well suited to demanding industrial environments such as machinery manufacturing, metal fabrication, heavy engineering and the transportation industry, where high material removal rates and long abrasive life are required.
